Wellbeing Hub
Our Wellbeing Hub is a safe and welcoming space where learners can relax and take a break if
they need to.
At Doucecroft, we know that a child’s mental health and wellbeing are important for their learning. Our Wellbeing Hub is a special place where learners and families can get help and advice to make sure children can learn at their best.
The Wellbeing Team works with learners to help them feel good and ready to learn. We also help families by offering support and advice. If needed, we can refer to outside services like CAMHS or other local health providers.
We offer fun ways to help pupils feel better, such as working with therapy dogs from Paws4Pals.
Supporting Families
We know that families need help too. The Wellbeing Team helps families find local services, get financial advice, and offers emotional support.
We run coffee mornings where parents can meet, chat, and support each other. If parents need help with medical appointments or referrals, we are here to assist.
Our Approach: Trauma Perceptive Practice
Doucecroft uses the Trauma Perceptive Practice (TPP) approach. This approach helps us understand behaviour and support emotional wellbeing. It’s based on kindness, hope, compassion, connection, and belonging. All of our staff are trained in this approach to make sure that each pupil gets the right support.
