“Pupils enjoy being at Doucecroft School. Meeting pupils’ needs and helping them to navigate well through life is at the heart of leaders’ decision-making.”

At Doucecroft School, we focus on helping learners grow and prepare for the future. Ofsted says our school is a safe, happy place where learners feel supported and valued.

We offer exciting opportunities like engineering competitions, life skills lessons, and fun trips. Our staff are well-trained to help learners build confidence and learn important skills.

Every learner is encouraged to do their best and is supported to move on to their next step in education, work, or training.

What is it like to attend Doucecroft School?

  • Learners enjoy being at Doucecroft School. Helping them succeed and prepare for life is very important to school leaders.
  • Staff give learners exciting opportunities, like taking part in engineering competitions, giving presentations, and going on trips such as a train journey to see a musical in London.
  • Learners are taught how to manage their behaviour. The school is calm and safe, with a focus on creating a positive and supportive environment.
  • Teachers listen to learners’ ideas through the school ambassadors, creating warm and friendly relationships.
  • Many parents say their children are “happy, healthy, and settled.”
  • All learners successfully move on to college, work, or training after leaving the school.

We encourage parents to share their thoughts about our school on Ofsted Parent View, at any time throughout the year, to help us grow and improve together.
