Safeguarding

Staying safe in school and online.

At Doucecroft School, keeping all our learners safe and happy is our top priority.

We want everyone to feel protected, supported, and confident in their daily lives, both at school and online.

This website gives you and your family helpful information about staying safe and getting support.

We want our school to be a safe and happy place for all children, young people, and adults.

We work with others to:

  • Stop harm or neglect before it happens
  • Help everyone stay safe and well
  • Make sure all adults do their jobs properly to keep children safe
  • Teach, support, and give advice about keeping safe

At Doucecroft School, we follow rules and have plans in place to keep children safe. These are called safeguarding and child protection procedures.

We have clear rules at our school about how staff should behave with students. We always make sure our school is a kind, caring, and safe place. Children are given the support they need without putting their safety at risk.

Everyone at Doucecroft School knows they must help protect young people and keep them safe. If we are worried about a child, we will speak to the right people to make sure they get the help they need.

We encourage everyone to explore our E-safety Hub and online E-safety policy for more details and advice on safer internet use. This includes such topics as the use of parental controls and how to keep children safe.

ESafety: Why It’s Important

The internet is a great place for learning, fun, and connecting with others. But we must stay safe while using it. It’s important to:

  • Keep personal information private.
  • Only talk to people you know online.
  • Tell a trusted adult if something worries you or makes you feel unsafe.

We encourage everyone to explore our E-Safety Hub and Online/E-safety Policy  for safer internet use.
