General Information Important for Students and Parents

Doucecroft School Opening Hours for Students:

At Doucecroft School, here are the times when students are expected to be at school:

  • Monday: 10:30am to 3:00 pm (Suffolk Students) / 10:30am to 3:15pm (Essex Students)
  • Tuesday to Thursday: 8:45am to 3:00pm (Suffolk Students) / 8:45am to 3:15pm (Essex Students)
  • Friday: 8:45am to 2:45pm (Suffolk Students) / 8:45am to 3:00 pm (Essex Students)

AUTUMN TERM: Wednesday 4th September 2024 – Friday 20th December 2024
Half Term: 28th October – 1st November

Additional Training Days – 2nd & 3rd September and 25th October
Non-Pupil Days: 20th December

SPRING TERM: Monday 6th January 2025 – Friday 4th April 2025
Half Term: 17th February – 21st February
Non-Pupil Days: – 13th, 14th February and 4th April

SUMMER TERM: Tuesday 22nd April 2025 – Tuesday 22nd July 2025
Half Term: 26th May – 30th May
May Bank Holiday: 5th May
Non-Pupil Days: 2nd June

Reporting Absence
If your child is absent, you must tell the school by 8:45 am on the first day and each day after. 
You can call 01206 771234 to leave a message, speak to the office staff, or email 
datattendance@autism-anglia.org.uk

Travel to and from Doucecroft School is arranged by your local council’s transport department.

Learners aged from 16 to 19 years old may be eligible for a bursary from the government.

What are the 2024/2025 term dates?

Autumn Term 2024: 4th September – 20th December.Half term: 28th October – 1st November. Additional training days: 2nd / 3rd September and 25th October. Non pupil days: 20th December.

Spring Term 2025: 6th January – 4th April. Half term: 17th February – 21st February. Non-Pupil Days: 13th, 14th February and 4th April.  

Summer Term 2025: 22nd April to 22nd July. Half Term: 26th May – 30th May 2025. May Bank Holiday: 5th May 2025. Non-Pupil Days: 2nd June 2025
