A statement from Daniel Lawrence, Headteacher

On 10 September 2026, an HMI Ofsted Inspector visited Doucecroft School for an unannounced monitoring visit.

The visit formed part of the ongoing inspection process and provided an opportunity for inspectors to spend time in school, meeting with leadership, observing the day-to-day experiences of learners and the work being undertaken.

While we are unable to comment on the findings of the visit at this stage, we can express we are happy with the visit and remain focused on ensuring the best possible outcomes for every learner.

Headteacher Daniel Lawrence said:

“I’m really happy with how the visit went and look forward to sharing the report once it is published.

I would like to thank everyone who makes up the Doucecroft community, including our dedicated staff team, parents and carers, learners, and partners. Doucecroft is a truly special place, and I am incredibly proud of the achievements, progress and successes our learners continue to make every day.”

We look forward to sharing further information once the Ofsted monitoring visit report has been published.
