Welcome to Doucecroft Daniel Lawrence

Doucecroft School is pleased to share some positive news following a period of transition within the school. Over recent months, there have been changes in leadership, and we would like to thank our whole school community for their continued support during this time.

Since the start of the year, the school has been led by Interim Headteacher, Greg Crawford, who will continue in this role until the end of March 2026. His leadership has provided continuity and stability, supporting the school as it continues to move forward with confidence.

We are delighted to announce the successful appointment of a permanent Headteacher. Daniel Lawrence will be joining Doucecroft from 5 February 2026, bringing with him a wealth of experience in educational leadership. Most recently, Daniel was Headteacher at The Reys College and has previously held the same role with TLD, The Education Charity.

Welcoming the appointment, James McQuiggan, CEO of Autism Anglia said:

“I am delighted to welcome Daniel to Doucecroft School. He brings a strong track record of leadership and a clear commitment to providing high-quality, inclusive education. I am confident that Daniel’s experience and values will support the continued development of the school and help build on the positive progress already being made.”

Once established in his role, Daniel looks forward to meeting learners, families, and staff and will be in touch through newsletters and other school communications.

We are extremely proud of how the school community has come together during this period. Staff have demonstrated great professionalism and teamwork, ensuring learners continue to learn in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. At the same time, the school remains firmly focused on delivering its Ofsted action plan to further strengthen provision and improve outcomes for all learners, with good progress already underway.
